Two objectives are pursued: to offer a comprehensive perspective on the different approaches to heuristic inspections and their evolution in the last decades since their emergence, and to propose an approach that integrates the extended array of heuristic criteria. The motivation for the proposed approach and the issues faced are also discussed.
<fullTextUrl format="pdf">http://jips.episciences.org/1300/pdf</fullTextUrl><keywords><keyword>Guidelines</keyword><keyword>Heuristic inspection</keyword><keyword>Ergonomics criteria.</keyword><keyword>Critères ergonomiques</keyword><keyword>Guide de conception et d’évaluation</keyword><keyword>Inspection heuristique.</keyword><keyword>ACM: H.: Information Systems/H.5: INFORMATION INTERFACES AND PRESENTATION (e.g., HCI)</keyword><keyword>ACM: H.: Information Systems/H.5: INFORMATION INTERFACES AND PRESENTATION (e.g., HCI)/H.5.2: User Interfaces</keyword><keyword>ACM: H.: Information Systems/H.5: INFORMATION INTERFACES AND PRESENTATION (e.g., HCI)/H.5.2: User Interfaces/H.5.2.2: Ergonomics</keyword><keyword>ACM: H.: Information Systems/H.5: INFORMATION INTERFACES AND PRESENTATION (e.g., HCI)/H.5.2: User Interfaces/H.5.2.3: Evaluation/methodology</keyword><keyword>ACM: H.: Information Systems/H.5: INFORMATION INTERFACES AND PRESENTATION (e.g., HCI)/H.5.2: User Interfaces/H.5.2.12: Style guides</keyword><keyword>ACM: H.: Information Systems/H.5: INFORMATION INTERFACES AND PRESENTATION (e.g., HCI)/H.5.2: User Interfaces/H.5.2.11: Standardization</keyword><keyword>ACM: H.: Information Systems/H.1: MODELS AND PRINCIPLES/H.1.2: User/Machine Systems/H.1.2.0: Human factors</keyword><keyword>ACM: H.: Information Systems/H.1: MODELS AND PRINCIPLES/H.1.2: User/Machine Systems/H.1.2.2: Software psychology</keyword><keyword>[SCCO.PSYC]Cognitive science/Psychology</keyword><keyword>[INFO.EIAH]Computer Science [cs]/Technology for Human Learning</keyword><keyword>[INFO.INFO-HC]Computer Science [cs]/Human-Computer Interaction [cs.HC]</keyword><keyword>[INFO.INFO-WB]Computer Science [cs]/Web</keyword><keyword>[SCCO.COMP]Cognitive science/Computer science</keyword></keywords></record></records>
